Mötley Crüe reached the end

Mötley Crüe reached the end

An era has ended. December 31th was a sad day for the fans of Mötley Crüe as they played together for the very last time.
But you can say, ”all bad things must come to an end” and quote the song that was the soundtrack for Mötley Crüe’s final tour when they sealed their fate as a band.
A band that have been around since the 80’s, when the whole glam-metal-scene was a big thing and they stood thru the end of the glam era when most bands of the 80’s faded.
They also made it thru the obstacles that have been the members very own decadent way of life and even wrote a book about it. A book that will become a movie shortly.
The last show I saw with Mötley was in Stockholm, Sweden November 2015, and I think they ended on the right note, so to speak.
Everything I thought was lacking at their gig at Sweden Rock Festival 2015, they had now. I have never seen Mick Mars move around that much on stage. Vince Neil was smiling, Nikki Sixx gave the crowd his ”be the knife speech” and Tommy Lee slides over the crowd upside down in the sealing while drumming.
People in the audience where crying as this was the last gig ever for Mötley in Sweden. The fact that Nikki Sixx will be back in Sweden by the summer of 2016 with his own Sixx:am, didn’t bring any comfort to heartbroken fans. And I must admit, it did sting a bit to see the four members that are Mötley Crüe take a final bow in Sweden, as a band, even for me. They really delivered on that gig, with all the pyro-effects, confetti rain, dancers, costume changes, Mick's guitar solo, Tommy's drum solo, Nikki's fire shooting bass and so on.
They had Alice Cooper to play as a very special guest before Mötley went on stage. Alice and his band are a good live act as always and got the crowd going.
As an opening act they also brought along the Canadian-American band Saint Asonia, that where formed in 2014.

Thank you, Mötley Crüe, for all the good rock music!
