Alice Cooper at Gröna Lund Stockholm, July 3

Alice Cooper

This live review might be a little bit different from my other reviews since I don’t want to spoil the show for someone that are going to see him for the first time. There for I won’t be going into exact detail about this show, you need to see it in order to believe it…

Alice Cooper doesn’t need a presentation, first time he stood at Gröna Lunds stage was 1975 and he’s in my meaning one of all modern rock music grandfathers.
After three hours of waiting in front of the stage to get a good spot, Alice Cooper suddenly sneaks out quietly on to the stage without making a “grand entrance” and sang “Hello, Hooray” completed with some special effects and the show was on.
He had a commanding presence and he really took control of the audience thru out the entire show. He made sure that everyone looked at him and he looked at everyone in the crowd and made us feel that he could see everything that we did and if you did anything stupid he would come down and bite your face off…

Anything could happen at any time and I overheard somebody in the audience say:” I’ am scared to look away because I might miss something!” That was true, no matter where you looked on stage something was happening and it was sorted out evenly so everyone could see and take nice pictures.
Every song that they played sounded good and the crowd knew each and every one of them. However, I wondered a bit why he had to mix up his songs with a few covers?
The covers sounded well, but it had been more interesting if he’d played some more of his own songs that so many people love. The band works well together and is making a nice job to back up Alice and the whole show.

Best moment of the show:
Some of his immortal hits like “He’s back”, “Poison” and “Schools Out”.
Highly notable:
When the show had ended several people stayed around and a few more people made their way up to the stage for a chance to get a souvenir. The stage worker made sure that 2 picks and 2 set lists, one that he ripped into half, was given out evenly and pointed out who was getting what. This is often missed at shows and the same person can get several things and many goes home without anything. Come on people be fair to one and other!

Hollywood Undead

Hollywood Undead

Hollywood Undead at Gröna Lund in Stockholm.
The song “Usual suspects” from their latest album “Day of the Dead” opened their gig and out came six masked guys who rocked the crowd. It was from there on an intense music party. It’s quite impressing that six guys can share the smallest stage at Gröna Lund and still puts on a badass performance.
Hollywood Undead are loved by their fans, they didn’t play one bad song. Whether you’re a fan or not, this is a band that must be seen live or at least get some of their records.

Best moment of the show:

The drum-intro to “Everywhere I go” started to play and everyone in the crowd sang the song without any one on stage saying anything. Magical!
